Legio III Cyrenaica is a Roman Re-enactment Group based in the New England and New York areas We come from all walks of life, all ages and backgrounds. We are retired military, teachers, doctors, lawyers, construction workers, hi-tech industry techs, warehouse foreman, businessmen and women, home makers and students. Legio III Cyrenaica is a family-oriented group. We try to bring the full experience of ancient Rome to everyone and welcome all family members. OUR MISSION Legio III Cyrenaica is a group of men and women dedicated to the recreation of Roman times for educational purposes and fun. We do not discriminate against ANY race, gender, religion or ethnic background, etc. We welcome both men and women from all walks of life. The only requirement is to have an interest in ancient Roman history. Members are encouraged to consider Roman re-enacting as a member of the military or a Roman civilian Legio III Cyrenaica has no hidden agendas or missions other than to be as historically accurate as research and budget allow, to promote a historical understanding of our legacy in ancient Rome and to have fun.
